Field of Terror is a returning home haunt from last year.  This family owned & operated farm features three haunted attractions including a haunted barn, 6-acre haunted corn maze and a haunted hayride.  Last year we were so impressed we decided to come to see what’s new!

We began our jouney in the haunted barn and to our surprise they extended it which made us very excited because this was our favorite from last year.  After waiting in a short line we entered the barn.  We made our way through cramped hallways and dark rooms and eventually came to our favorite part!  About a quarter of the way through the maze you come to a dead stop and wait for your turn to push your way through these walls that are so blown up by air they are touching.  As the walls envelope your body it becomes pitch black and very tight.  Anyone with claustraphobia might want to sit this one out.  After some fun we were back in the mercy of the maze.  After wondering somemore we came up to a dark and foggy trailer.  This was probably the scariest part because you could not see a single thing.  After making our way out we come to a small room where there is no defined way out.  However, there were three doors you had to choose from.  This was a brilliant idea!  You picked the door went through into another room with three more sets of doors.  After being lost for a split second we made our way out of the maze where chainsaw wielding maniacs chased you out!

After catching our breath we got in line for the 6-acre haunted corn maze.  This line was the longest we would wait in for the night.  Finally after waiting a half hour we entered the haunted corn maze.  This year they had added some new stops along your journey.  However, this maze was boring.  I don’t get the point in having a cornmaze if the actors inside the attraction are going to ignore the corn.  Meaning we had actors standing in the center of the walkway, wow that’s scary!  Use the corn to your advantage, run through it, make noise, distract us as another ghoul runs at us.  A lot of potential but the wrong approach.  Plus the fact that the walkway is way to wide, close it up a little, bring the corn closer.  If you don’t have the money, don’t worry about this attraction, but it is cool to walk through this insanely long maze….

Finally, off to the most disappointing attraction of the night.  The haunted hayride was terrible.  Now you have heard me say this before, hayrides are hard to make scary because you have so many factors and Field of Terror ignored those factors.  It was boring and I regret paying money to ride that.

Overall the night was fun even though the hayride was a bore.  The haunted barn was our favorite of the night as you can tell from reading this review.  Tip - do not wear nice shoes.  The walkways of the cornmaze are muddy.
