Corner of Chaos

The Corner of Chaos is a family owned & operated scream park located in the farm country of New Jersey.  During the day, you can buy flowers, pumpkins, cornstalks, and etc.  When the sun goes down, the farm transforms into one hellish place!

We arrived at 8:30 (take note of that) and the line for tickets was about an hour long.  After finally getting our ticket we rounded the corner to find another HUGE line.  We waited in this line for about 15 minutes, but then we saw one of the attractions was across the field.  The Barbaric Barn had no line, so we made a dash for it.

As we entered the Barbaric Barn you walk through a pitch black maze.  This was the most scariest thing all night!  The actors were so good at waiting until you were face to face with them before they turned on their flashlights.  After walking through complete darkness you walk through the twisted barn with a meat room and some trailers.  We liked this walkthrough the most out of the three!

After the Barbaric Barn, we decided to get back on line for whatever we were waiting for before.  It seemed the line was filtering into a nursery tent.  Finally after an hour and a half we got inside to find ourselves being briefed about what was about to happen next.  Well to our surprise, we hopped on a tractor wagon and went across the farm to the next two trails.

First we went on Devils Den which was a 45 minute walk through the woods.  The layout and scenery of this trail was amazing!  Just walking in the woods at 11pm was awesome!  They had taken their nursery tents and placed them along the trail.  These were the coolest attributes to the maze.  When you walked in, you couldn’t see an inch infront of you because of the amount of fog.  We walked through half a dozen of these.  Finally we made it out and we had one more to go.

Trail of Trechery was another 45 minute walk through the woods & cornmaze!  Similar to the Devils Den this one featured much of the same thing, however, this one was less inhabited by actors, mainly because of how late it was.  Finally we made it the most exciting part of the trail, the cornmaze.  This maze was narrow, you found yourself pushing the cornstalks out of your way.  We didn’t get scared at all.  However, we did notice that we were walking through the maze at 1am!  How cool is that!

So finally after walking through all three attractions, waiting in line and taking a short hayride ride we were done at 1:30am!  Overall I would rate this place an 8 out of a 10.  If the management of the lines and layout of where the attractions were better, it would be a 10!

Tip – Be prepared to wait in long lines for these attractions.  The park is poorly managed and the attractions are poorly placed….
